New e-bike rules now in effect at Oregon State Parks: What to know

Electric-assist bicycles (e-bikes) can now use the same bike trails as other bicycles unless specifically prohibited at Oregon State Parks. 

In general, e-bikes are permitted where other bicycles are allowed. 

Open areas could include:

• Paved or unpaved multi-use trails
• Campground and park roads
• Wet sand on Oregon Coast beaches in areas that aren’t closed for safety or environmental protection.
