Aventon E-Bike Service & Care
Mokwheel E-Bikes
Aventon
Built To Ride.
Aventon is a California-based e-bike brand known for well-styled, feature-rich bikes at competitive prices, including app connectivity and torque-sensor pedal assist on many models. Popular models include the Level (commuter), Aventure (fat-tire), Pace (cruiser/step-through), Sinch (folding), Soltera (lightweight), and Aventon Abound (cargo). Most use rear hub motors with removable lithium-ion batteries and a backlit display, and newer models pair with the Aventon companion app for firmware updates and ride data.
What You Get
Care & Coverage
Everything that keeps your Mokwheel rolling, backed by real people you can visit.
Battery charging
Charge indoors in a temperature-controlled space. Aventon advises charging in the 50–77°F (10–25°C) range and never below/above the permitted range; unplug the battery once the charger indicator shows a full charge to avoid stressing the cells.
Battery storage
For extended storage, don't leave the pack empty. Charge it to roughly 75–80% and check it about once a month, topping back up if it drops under ~75%. Keep it out of freezing garages and direct hot sun.
Tire pressure
Check pressure before rides against the range on the tire sidewall (commuter tires run higher, fat tires much lower). Proper pressure preserves range and handling and reduces pinch flats.
Chain & drivetrain
Clean and lubricate the chain regularly with bicycle chain lube, wiping off the excess. Inspect the cassette and derailleur for wear, and keep the drivetrain free of grit, especially after wet or dusty rides.
Brakes
Check lever feel and pad wear routinely. Aventon's hydraulic-disc-equipped models need occasional pad replacement and, over time, a brake bleed; confirm rotors are true and pads aren't contaminated.
Bolt & torque checks
Verify stem, handlebar, seatpost, and axle fasteners are torqued to the values in your model's manual, re-checking after initial assembly and after installing accessories like racks or fenders.
Cleaning & firmware
Wipe the bike with a damp cloth and mild cleaner; never use a pressure washer or spray directly at the battery, motor, or display. Keep the Aventon app and bike firmware up to date, since updates can affect assist behavior and display features.
Service intervals
Aventon publishes a maintenance schedule with pre-/post-ride, weekly, monthly, six-month, and annual checks. A good rule is a light check weekly/monthly and a professional tune-up roughly every six months or after heavy use.
