Mokwheel E-Bikes

Heybike
Built To Ride.

Heybike is a value-oriented e-bike brand known for approachable folding, fat-tire, commuter, and full-suspension models such as the Mars, Ranger, Tyson, Horizon, Cityscape, Alpha, and Saturn lines. Their bikes typically use hub or mid-drive motors (some with torque sensors), UL-certified (UL 2849) systems, removable lithium-ion batteries, and hydraulic or mechanical disc brakes. Heybike emphasizes affordability and comfort for casual riders and commuters, and offers spare batteries and utility kits across its lineup.

Care & Coverage

Everything that keeps your Mokwheel rolling, backed by real people you can visit.

01

Battery charging

Charge the battery after use to prolong its lifespan and avoid running it fully flat; recharge promptly when low. If the bike is not being used, charge it about once a month to keep the pack healthy.

02

Battery storage

Store the bike and battery in a dry, cool place, ideally around 50-77°F (10-25°C), away from humidity and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, remove the battery and follow the manual's charge-level guidance, and make sure a removable battery is securely mounted before each ride.

03

Tire pressure

Inflate to the recommended PSI on the sidewall and check for cuts, cracks, or embedded debris. Underinflated tires make the motor work harder and can reduce battery range.

04

Chain & drivetrain

Clean the chain, cassette, chainrings, and derailleur before re-lubricating so grime does not form an abrasive paste. Lubricate with a bike-specific chain lube after cleaning and drying; lube weekly or as needed.

05

Brakes

Check brake pads at least monthly and before longer rides. Replace pads when worn, noisy, or inconsistent, inspect rotors, and confirm the bike stops smoothly and straight.

06

Bolts & torque

After the first few weeks and after rough terrain, check for loose screws, nuts, and bolts. Use the correct tools and, where available, a torque wrench for the stem, handlebar, seatpost, and crank bolts, and avoid overtightening.

07

Cleaning

Light, consistent cleaning beats occasional heavy cleaning. Use bike-safe methods and avoid blasting bearings or electrical areas with high-pressure water; keep battery contacts clean and dry.

08

Service intervals

Heybike suggests a weekly-to-annual routine: weekly brake/shift/tire/chain checks, monthly and 6-month inspections of drivetrain, bearings, brakes and bolts, and an annual (or every 18-24 months for casual riders) full service including a firmware check if applicable.

Frequently Asked

Answers to the questions we hear most from riders.

How often should my Heybike be serviced?
Do quick weekly checks of brakes, tire pressure, shifting, and chain lube yourself, and bring the bike in for a fuller inspection every six months or annually depending on mileage. Casual riders may only need a full service every 18-24 months; daily commuters should come in more often.
My Heybike display shows an error or the assist stopped working. Can you diagnose it?
Yes. We can read the display code, check the battery seating and connectors, and inspect the controller, sensor, and wiring. Many issues are a loose connection or a setting, but we will identify whether any electrical component needs replacement.
The removable battery isn't holding a charge like it used to. What now?
Some capacity loss is normal as batteries age, and cold weather also reduces range temporarily. We can test the pack's health, verify the charger output, and confirm the battery locks in and makes clean contact. If it is genuinely worn out, we will recommend a correct Heybike-compatible, UL-certified replacement.
Do you service Heybike hydraulic disc brakes and full-suspension models?
We do. We inspect and replace pads, true or replace rotors, bleed hydraulic brakes when the lever feels soft, and service suspension components on models like the Mars and Horizon. Braking is a priority safety item on these heavier bikes.
Can you tighten and torque everything after my folding bike started creaking?
Yes. Folding and fat-tire bikes can loosen at the folding joints, stem, and hardware over time. We will inspect the frame and folding mechanism, torque fasteners to spec, and check for any wear or play that needs attention.
I bought my Heybike used or it's out of warranty. Will you still work on it?
Absolutely. As an independent shop we service all Heybike models regardless of age or where they were purchased. We will assess the bike, source compatible parts, and get it safely back on the road.
