Himiway E-Bike Service & Care
Mokwheel E-Bikes
Himiway
Built To Ride.
Himiway is best known for rugged, long-range fat-tire e-bikes and all-terrain models such as the Cruiser, Zebra, and the newer D5 and D7/Cobra and A7 lines, along with cargo, step-thru, and folding options. Their bikes typically use brushless geared hub motors (commonly 750W) paired with UL-certified, brand-name lithium-ion cells and larger-capacity batteries aimed at extended range. Himiway markets toward comfort, hauling, and rough-terrain riding, so their heavier fat-tire builds put steady demand on tires, drivetrain, brakes, and suspension.
What You Get
Care & Coverage
Everything that keeps your Mokwheel rolling, backed by real people you can visit.
Battery charging
Recharge the battery fully as soon as practical after use rather than storing it depleted, and turn the system off when the battery is low. Avoid draining the pack completely, which shortens its life.
Battery storage
For long idle periods, store the battery charged (Himiway guidance points to keeping it in a safe mid-to-high state and topping it up about once a month). Keep it in a dry, ventilated spot away from open flame, high heat, and direct sunlight; the ideal charging temperature range is roughly 10-25°C (50-77°F).
Tire pressure
Fat tires still need regular pressure checks against the sidewall range. Correct inflation improves handling, ride comfort, range, and tire life on these heavier bikes.
Chain & drivetrain
Clean the chain after each ride, especially in wet or muddy conditions, using a dry cloth or brush (warm soapy water if needed) and avoiding harsh acidic or alkaline cleaners. Once the chain is dry, apply lubricant to the key wear points and wipe off excess.
Motor care
The hub motor generally needs no special maintenance, but check that it is secure on the axle and tighten any loose axle nuts or screws. Note that hub motors are not waterproof, so avoid riding through water deeper than the lower edge of the wheel hub.
Suspension fork
Wipe the fork stanchions and dust seals clean with a lint-free cloth after dusty or wet rides to reduce wear, and consider a dust cover for protection. Have the fork professionally serviced periodically.
Bolts & fasteners
Regularly inspect and tighten loose screws and nuts, particularly around the motor axle, brakes, and handlebar/stem, since vibration on rough terrain can loosen hardware over time.
Service intervals
Do quick pre-ride checks of tires, brakes, and battery, and schedule a professional tune-up periodically (more often with heavy off-road or wet-weather use). Consult your model's owner's manual for model-specific guidance.
